What Are Airbrushed Tattoos?
Airbrushed tattoos are temporary tattoos that are sprayed on using a system very similar to the ones that are used for airbrush art. The airbrush itself is often smaller than the airbrush used for artistic work and the person applying the tattoo uses a stencil to help create the design. The ink is also different, as it must be hypo-allergenic and approved by the FDA.
How Are They Applied?
There are 5 simple steps to getting an airbrush tattoo:
1. The skin where the tattoo will be applied is thoroughly cleaned with rubbing alcohol to remove any dirt or oil, then the area is blow dried.
2. The stencil is then applied to the desired area.
3. The tattoo is airbrushed on. This usually takes a few minutes, depending on the number of colors applied and the intricacy design.
4. The over spray is removed, again with rubbing alcohol.
5. The tattoo is dusted with talc to help it dry and set it.

- How rapidly you ex foliate or shed your skin.
- How oily or dry your skin is.
- Where you have your tattoo applied to your body. For example if you have your tattoo applied near your waistband & the waistband rubs the tattoo, the tattoo will not last.
